Founded in 1926 in the Borgo Panigale district of Bologna, Ducati have becoming synonymous with building racing-inspired motorcycles characterized by unique engine features, innovative design, advanced engineering and overall technical excellence.

The Superbike family of machines has always characterized, identified and defined Ducati and has been the basis on which Ducati has determined its race success.

Throughout the years the Ducati Superbike family has expanded adding one iconic machine after another 851,888,916,996,998 and 999 have all been responsible for British and World Superbike success. The latest addition to the Superbike family, the 1098 was recently launched and is already looking likely to be a worthy successor to the 999 both on the race circuit and the road.

The racing arm of Ducati is Ducati Corse which was created with the main aim of uniting all the sporting activities of Ducati under one roof, it has won 12 riders and 14 manufacturer World Superbike Championship titles and more individual victories than the competition put together. Ducati Corse has a workforce of over 100 around 10% of the Ducati Motor Holdings employees, enforcing its commitment and ethos towards racing.

Ducati Corse provides private teams with highly competitive bikes. These are produced with a similar technical specification to the factory bikes. Besides the Superbikes and spare parts, Ducati Corse provides consultancy services and technical assistance that enable racing customers to take part in the World Superbike Championship and in national Superbike championships.

Ducati UK Limited is a fully owned subsidiary of Ducati Motor Holdings and has been responsible for all sales and marketing activities in the UK since 2000.

As well as promoting racing in the UK with Ducati Corse supported teams such as GSE, Ducati UK has also encouraged and backed all levels of Ducati racing from Supersport and Superstock to club racing such as the Desmo Due and most recently the Sport 1000 Cup.
